Hi, I’m Ben. A 1st year international student at Thompson Rivers University, where I am currently doing a Bachelors degree in Digital Journalism. Having played soccer ever since I remember, it felt only right to concentrate my first journalistic piece on it. Although i have only been in Kamloops for little over 6 months, I feel i have developed many important contacts in the local soccer community, having played for Kamloops United FC’s first team this gone spring, as well as being an athlete for the TRU WolfPack. This means I can access many parts of the U17 National Soccer Championships which are not available to everyone. Hopefully, my own soccer expertise, on top of this special access, should lead to some really good journalistic pieces for you to enjoy.
