
Less than a week to go until Kamloops hosts the u17 National Soccer championships. Games run from morning to late afternoon from Wednesday 8th October through to Thanksgiving Monday.
The tournament capital of Canada hosts the event for the first time in history.
Athletes, coaches and families from across the nation are beginning to arrive in Kamloops in the build up for the tournament, consequently seeing a huge rise in hotel bookings in the area. An estimated 450 male and female athletes will be on the biggest stage this weekend with hopes of etching their names into Canadian soccer history.

The competing players will all be given free admission to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Men’s Soccer team’s game this Saturday at 5:30pm as they face the UBCO Heat in a crucial match up for both sides. The athletes will be sure to pack the stands alongside an already lively set of fans.
Games will take place at Maccarthur Island Park and the Tournament Capital Centre is rumoured to host the final. Hosts Kamloops United will be hoping for their first piece of National Silverware after their men’s team secured a bronze medal in the BC Provincial A cup and the women taking home the silver medal in the same competition.
